I'm curious about why the term contemporary is used?? The Last Enemy shown in the previous series was definitely contemporary. But so many of the others are historical. Why? _________________ "The goal of a just society is inseparable from love and beauty"...Ralph Nader

I believe the cut off is WWII. I'm guessing because God on Trial was set during the Holocaust.
the Last Enemy (awesome!) was set in the near future.
Endgame was set in the late '80's.
Filth set in the late '60's.
Place of Execution modern day and mid-60's.
Collision, I think is set in modern day. _________________ "I must admit, I find television educational. Every time someone turns on a tv, I go in another room and read." ~ Groucho Marx |

Yeah but that leaves what 9 years in this century, not exactly that many years to have a whole section of series to themselves. _________________ "I must admit, I find television educational. Every time someone turns on a tv, I go in another room and read." ~ Groucho Marx |

Oh but such busy years... two major Crusades against Islam and about 10 minor ones, a rogue president and his buddy Blair, a black president, Merkel, Sarkhozy with the model wife, Putin and the Russian Gold Rush, the Patriot Act in the US (along with financial controls that led directly to a new Great Depression) and almost complete surveillance in Britain, the slicing up of the oil fields, global warming made manifest, WTO ruling the world, The New China, The New India, Thibet rumblings, the US destruction of Haiti and a number of other governments. Surely enough to keep the Orwells of this age busy. Karzai would make a miniseries all by himself. Who need the 1900's for material?
I shudder to think what another decade will bring. _________________ "The goal of a just society is inseparable from love and beauty"...Ralph Nader
