| With the destruction of human embryos at the center of the stem cell debate in the U.S., some scientists are experimenting with new ways to make embryonic stem cells. They hope such approaches may solve ethical problems. Other scientists argue that the search for less controversial methods of creating stem cells will never please all the critics and will slow down invaluable medical research. Is there such a thing as controversy-free stem cell research? Would new approaches to embryonic stem cell production change the way you feel about stem cell research? |
